My oh my

Sorry i've been lazy. I just got here a day ago from Napa Valley, CA. Will post some pictures after i got a chance to go home again [im crashing at my friend's place]. Today i went morning jogging with a bunch of friends at greenlake. Not that you'll be interested. but because of that, im downright tired and need a sleep desperately, despite the fact that i have not taken a shower for 2 days now. anyway, have a fantastic night. good night.

Music: Jupiter One

Image
Finally, i great cheerful sounding music in English! I've been looking for groups like Jupiter One these days. This NY based band put up such a rhythm through my sound system that i keep thumping to their songs. Fuse TV is giving a legit free taste of "Flaming Arrow"- one of Jupiter One's tracks. Give it a try, you won't be disappointed! Slightly off track, i just heard Kings of Convenience's Mrs. Cold track. It's amazing - in a laid back, acoustic-ly chilling way.

Links: Philip Toledano

"Days with My Father", a series of photos taken by Philip Toledano , is a bitter-sweet combination of beautifully shot photographs and stories to go with them. This is a must read/must see site.
i will look up to you. while im down here, will you teach me how to keep my eyes on you alone

Poem of Growing Up #3: Old Sins

Image
I Lay in wait for an answer i dare not to assume A girl timid but still careless nonetheless diving for red poisonous wine bathing a stranger in her stream of curiosity oblivious that his blood will stained her fingers fragile now whispering a prayer the grown girl asked for a wash to cleanse to redeems what her past had hastily written knowing it will never be erased [x] click for other "poems of growing up"

We Got Married [k-show]

Image
This is how words of mouth worked: 1. Rossy wrote in her blog about We Got Married, a korean reality show about fake-marriages between celebrities. 2. I wasn't interested at first, but after a couple months decided to give it a try 3. Watched 20 episodes, until i watched the Wedding Shots of Kim Hyun-Joon and Hwang Bo [shots above]. Of course, i love the other couple's 100-day wedding shots too, but these guys that do the lettuce couple's shots did an amazingly quirky reel of shots! Their ideas of the scenes and the poses are ridiculously cute, i can't help but let out a few "awh!" and "ooh!". Probably, after these episodes, i'll stop watching the show. Cause nothing could ever top that part; wedding shots.

Poem: To Catch a Runner

Shying away from a longing all awaits lingering in solidarity pausing before a late jump or a sudden run He should be canny clever and calm swiftly plunge his spear before the hunted surmise presume sense fear i shall flee outrunning your plans if you do not take me aback stun me get me

Music: Aimee Allen

Image
Aimee's voice; kinda low, slightly rough but melodious. Sound; always portray her lyrics. Eg: I Hate You has a that sexy, dark rock sound, while her La La Land is sweetly guitar-plucked taking you down to sleep. what's even more fantastic, Amazon gave away one of her track [ click here ]. Enjoy!

Camano Beach: The Camp

Image
Camano Beach is an hour and a half from Seattle. It's a nice place. Perfect for crabbing and clamming [if there is such a word as clam-ing]. We spent 3 days and 2 nights camping, and playing around the area. The beach is inhabitted by starfishes and jelly fishes in between those algae filled water!

music: "take on me" covers

Image
Sara Barellies did a great job covering "Take on Me" which have been covered so numerously by different musicians, thus the song now is rich with different influences from those piano synths from the original A-Ha , to the awesome ska feel by the Reel Big Fish , AC Newman acoustic-ish indie version of the song, and now Barellies' soul-jazzy take on the song. Give it a go :) Take on Me - Sara Bareilles
